Housing Minister at Alders Edge in Scotby

Kris Hopkins MP, the said that the Alders Edge development in Scotby, near Carlisle, was bringing much needed high quality housing to the market.

Kris, MP for Keighley and Ilkley in West Yorkshire and Minister for Housing, was accompanied by Carlisle Conservative MP John Stevenson as he toured the recently started building development. The visit was to highlight the partnership between a private housing developer and a social housing provider, with Story Homes’ investment providing additional social housing which will be managed by Two Castles.

The MP’s then hosted lunch in nearby Wetheral for local members of the private and public housing industry. Other guests who enjoyed a tour of the 45 property site included Councillor Barry Earp (Wetheral) and representatives from Two Castles Housing Association. Two Castles will be managing the social housing aspect of the development in Scotby.
