Daily Mail UK Property Award Parkland Village 4-star: 2005

June 2005

The Daily Mail has just announced the winners of the 2005 UK Property Awards. Story Homes fought off stiff competition to scoop a ‘Daily Mail UK Property Award for Cumbria' for their Parkland Village development.

Covering such areas as the history of the site, property specifications, safety and innovation, target audiences and a detailed marketing strategy, the judging criteria for this award is very specific. The awards are also backed up by a customer survey in an on-line readers voting forum.

Dawn Draper, Corporate Events Manager, commented:

"Parkland Village has been presented as an attractive proposition for those who want something a little different . Their entry displays inspired design, period conversion, contemporary, rural, yet close to the city. Parklands seems to have it all. The development has proved to be in a much sought after location and there's a real feeling of community, it's almost like a small village of its own, but in an urban area. This gives you the best of both worlds - close to the city and its amenities, but handy for the countryside too."

Commenting on the award, Fred Story said, "This is a fantastic achievement and we are all delighted that we have won this award for Parkland Village. Story's staff are hard working and dedicated and this is confirmed in the winning of this award. It is a great honour to be recognised by the Daily Mail and their readers for the quality of our homes."

Awards for all categories are presented as 4* and 5*, depending on the percentage scored. Story Homes will find out the number of awards won and the 4* or 5* status at an awards dinner in September.
