Show home makes a wonderful wedding present

June 2015

Workington couple, Janet and Paul Adair started an exciting new chapter in their lives when they celebrated their marriage just a day after buying their show home house.

The young couple visited the Story Homes development of Whins Farm Close in High Harrington and immediately fell in love with the show home of this beautiful site. They secured their new dream home and happily went about their wedding day the following day.

The wedding took place in the stunning location of Wordsworth House in Cockermouth with just a select party of close family and friends.

“We got married in a week when the weather was looking a bit iffy, however, the sun managed to shine on our wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and Wordsworth House was perfect: we enjoyed our canapés and champagne and while our photos were being taken, guests could take in the history and beauty of the building.”

Followed by a reception at the luxurious Georgian House, Whitehaven, the wedding day was just perfect. Janet and Paul then jetted off to spend three days at Lake Garda before taking sail on a cruise ship which visited Rome and Dubrovnik amongst many other beautiful places.

Janet, 32, met Paul, 37, when she was just 16 and they worked together at the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.

At the age of 26, Janet decided to follow her dreams to study at university. Paul also decided to go to university and the young couple romantically got engaged before heading off to Staffordshire University in Stoke-on-Trent to study pharmacy together.

Janets says: “We have been together longer in our lives than we have been apart as we met so young. I suppose it is really romantic … as we went away to university together, we truly make the real meaning of doing everything together a reality!”

Janet now works in a pharmacy in Workington and Paul practices in Whitehaven. The couple are excited about their new home in the pretty village of High Harrington and Janet says: “This was the best wedding present I could have asked for – although it’s a bit difficult to wrap!

“We chose a Story Home as they are such good build quality, the location is perfect and we love the fact that the show home is ready to move into. The garden is perfectly manicured which suits us as we are not very green-fingered.
“We walked round the show home and were totally sold on it and we both said that it just had to be ours! I love the décor and am even buying some of the furniture that’s in it.”

The happy couple have now happily settled in to their dream home.

Whins Farm Close has proved to be a highly desirable place to live with only a few remaining homes for sale. For further information call 07980 749151.
