August 2014

Builder Bear and the kids getting ready for Punch & Judy

Locals gathered in their numbers for Dalston Show 2014, with Story Homes’ very own mascot Builder Bear entertaining crowds throughout the day. He could be seen dancing around, handing out balloons, posing for photographs and at one point sitting with the children watching the Punch and Judy show!

Story Homes was delighted to again be a key sponsor of the event and support the community of Dalston. With ‘The Grange’ development just across the road from the Dalston Show ground, it was great to receive so much positive feedback from residents and visitors.

The weather stayed bright for the duration of the day and allowed everyone to enjoy the main events including the main ring’s ‘Inch Perfect Motor Cycle Trials Display’ team who were amazing. Other entertainment on offer included Falconry Life, Polly’s Parrots, Border Brass Band plus Artizani Street Theatre and stilt walkers.

Nothing quite like a Builder Bear hug!

Not only did Dalston Show reflect the brilliant local agricultural and rural skills, but it also emphasised the fantastic community spirit running throughout the village. Congratulations and thank you to the organisers of this wonderful family event; a great day to be part of.

Story Homes’ The Grange development has proved to be extremely popular so far with several plots already sold. There are still some fantastic properties available however and with great incentives such as the Government Help to Buy scheme you could be moving into your dream Story Home quicker than you think.
