I was first attracted to the family nature of Story Homes – everyone is really friendly and makes you feel welcome from day one. In addition, the benefits package (which for me included RTPI membership) was a real bonus and it is great to see the company investing in its people.
My typical day is spent working on existing projects and completing land searches for new opportunities. This includes planning appraisals and local authority tracking to see where any opportunities would be. I also update planning application monitoring spreadsheets and assist on any site visits or meetings with councillors.
I would recommend the graduate scheme to anyone – Story Homes really is invested in future talent, and you won’t get a better graduate scheme with another housebuilder.
