Consultation underway for new homes in Endmoor, Kendal

March 2017

We are proposing to submit a planning application for approximately 100 high quality new homes on the site to the north of Sycamore Close in Endmoor, an area already allocated for housing by South Lakeland District Council.

We are consulting with residents and key stakeholders adjacent to this site on our proposals for new houses in the village.

The houses, which will include a number of affordable homes, would help the local authority to meet their housing target.

The scheme will have benefits for the local economy during the construction phase as a result of direct and indirect employment opportunities through the sub-contractor and supply chains, as well as an increased demand for local services when the new houses are occupied.

Development planner David Hayward said: “The consultation is an opportunity for the residents of Endmoor to comment and provide feedback on our plans. The site has already been allocated for residential development by South Lakeland District Council and we hope to deliver the best possible development here.

“We believe that our product is appropriate for this site due to the high quality of our houses and also our dedication to building developments which complement the local area, through thoughtful planning and design.”

Following the consultation, we plan to submit a detailed planning application to the Council in Summer 2017.

View our plans and give feedback by Friday 31 March 2017 here.
