Reserved Matters Application
Thirsk Road, Kirklevington
Story Homes’ joint reserved matters application with Jomast Developments Ltd to build 145 high-quality new homes has been approved, as part of a residential-led scheme on this site. This follows Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council granting outline planning permission for the principle of the development of the site in March 2017.
Our proposals will create a sustainable and integrated development that will make an important contribution to the Borough’s housing supply. The proposed development will deliver a mix of market house types from 3-bedroom semi-detached to 5-bedroom detached homes. In addition, 15% of the new homes would be affordable 2 and 3-bedroom homes. The proposals also include provision for a village shop, multi-use games area, a public car park and public open space / landscaping.
Please note that the layout of this development is currently being reviewed. More information coming soon.Register your interest Consultation Boards
Public Open Space
Our proposals will include the creation of new open space for the benefit of local people and new residents alike including the provision of a village green and Multi-Use Games Area.
Meeting Housing Needs
The site will provide a range of family homes that will help to meet local housing needs, including the provision of new affordable homes within the development.
Our proposals will include a travel plan that will include measures to help reduce reliance on private vehicles and a local bus service will be subsidised to the site.
Financial contributions will be made towards improvements to local schools under s.106 planning obligations.
Our proposals will support existing local businesses and help create additional employment through new opportunities for local sub-contractors and the supply chain.
