What inspires you?

Everything! Everywhere I go I pick up bits of inspiration whether it be in hotels, shops or on the internet. I tend to spend my spare time scrolling through Pinterest and Polyvore making numerous mood boards. I have a few girls who work for me and I like to ensure their ideas and injected into every project so each room has a sense of personality, but still tying in with the overall interior theme of the house.

What has been your favourite show home and why?

I really enjoyed the Salisbury, at Brierdene, it is such a beautiful and impressive house and I felt it was a project I could really get my teeth into. I enjoyed stepping away from those neutral tones and really bringing some character to the home.

What colours, textures and furniture pieces do you love the most?

I really love colour, when I’m doing the children’s bedrooms I could get carried away, I like to keep them quite funky but still show that they can be tied in with the theme of the house. Limewash textures are my favourite, especially on a heavy coffee table with chrome feet, I feel like they create a sense of calmness and compliment the space and light in a Story Home. I also love glass, although it’s hard to keep clean, it makes any room look lovely and spacious!

Do you know any upcoming trends for Spring/Summer 2017?

Navy with hints of polished silver and smooth metallics is key for Spring/Summer, it is also a timeless trend that can be re-worked season after season. If you feel navy is too dark they try adding hints of cobalt blue instead to match a striking feature wall. I have also seen a lot of botanical print wallpaper and Art Deco furniture this season; including colour blocked sideboards and crushed velvet sofas, creating a feeling of decadence.
