Although I’m a roofer by trade, I joined Story Homes in January 2017 as a Trainee Site Manager before progressing to my current role of Assistant Site Manager.
My day-to-day job is extremely varied – from completing regular health and safety checks, to delegating labour duties and even occasionally getting involved in the labour myself. Customer service is also a really important part of my role, including handing over the property to its new owners and introducing them to their new home.
Story Homes is a growing business which means that there are lots of opportunities for people to develop their skills and progress their careers. I really enjoy the fact that the job has a lot of variety, and each day holds something different for me. It’s also refreshing to work with a group of like-minded people, where quality, success and teamwork are at the forefront of what we do.
