On a daily basis I am liaising with customers, both current and new, to be there as a helping hand. Whether that is getting our Customer Service Technician, Matt, to attend, appointing a sub-contractor or just answering any queries the customer may have whilst settling into their new home.
I have always found customer service very rewarding. Being able to find resolutions to customers’ problems and receiving a thank you at the end always brings a sense of achievement. To now be able to do that in relation to one of the most important parts of a person’s life makes it even better.
One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is when I get to introduce myself and the customer service team to new customers. As part of our 5 star customer service, after the customer has been in their new home 56 days I give them a call to introduce myself, the department and see how they are settling into their new home. To be able to reach out to the customer before they need us and to discuss the excitement of their new home is a very gratifying part of the role.
Being from Cumbria originally, Story Homes was a brand I grew up around so with moving to Newcastle, the familiarity of Story Homes was reassuring. This was multiplied by the ‘family’ attitude and welcoming nature of all the regions.
