I joined Story Homes in mid-2015 after phoning the Technical Director to enquire about any opportunities within Story Homes. Fortunately, they were looking for a Graduate Planner! It’s great to be part of such a hard working team and it’s immediately obvious that everybody is committed to delivering a product of the highest quality.
It’s a fast paced environment which makes it a demanding job, so organisational skills and a proactive approach to tackling work is essential. We work with a lot of public sector organisations and they are facing their own challenges, which make our timescales tight and challenging.
The challenging work goes hand in hand with rewarding work and as a relatively new team member at Story Homes, it’s clear that there are real opportunities on offer here and I look forward to progressing through the company in the future. In five years time I hope to be a fully fledged planner with sole responsibility for guiding sites through the planning process.
