Martin joined us as a Graduate Planner in 2015 and has recently been promoted to a permanent Development Planner role to support our region 3 business based in Chorley.

It is a fast-paced environment which makes it a demanding job, so organisational skills and a proactive approach to tackling work is essential. We work with a lot of public sector organisations and they are facing their own challenges, which make our timescales tight and challenging.
The challenging work goes hand-in-hand with rewarding work and as a relatively new team member at Story Homes, it is clear that there are real opportunities on offer here and I look forward to progressing through the company in the future. In five years’ time I hope to be a fully fledged planner with sole responsibility for guiding sites through the planning process.
