When a new development was recently launched in Kendal, one special customer arrived early to get his hands on his dream Story Home.

Painter Ryan, age 21, waited for four hours to make sure he was the first in line to buy his dream 3-bedroom semi-detached home, when properties on Ash Tree Park were released to customers at an exclusive launch event.
Ryan and his girlfriend Kim (age 23), are both living at home with parents in the local area. They wanted to stay close to family and friends at the same time of getting their feet on the property ladder. When Story Homes development at Ash Tree Park opened it provided the perfect next step!
Ryan, who works for Kendal based AJM painting and decorating, is really familiar with Story Homes and the quality of their houses as he has worked across Cumbria painting them for a number of years.
The couple have been saving for their deposit to buy their first home together with the Government’s Help to Buy ISA and they were quick to secure one of the ‘Kingston’ house types through the Help to Buy scheme. Having three bedrooms means our family and friends can stay over and we eventually want to have a family of our own, so this is a perfect home for us.
“I have painted lots of houses for Story Homes across Cumbria and have wanted to buy one of their homes, so when I found out about Ash Tree Park launching I made sure I was first in line to get my home secured. Working on their homes I see the attention to detail that goes into every aspect of building the houses. I am looking forward to watching the development being built and moving into our new home early in 2017.”
