What’s around Brigsteer Rise?

Heritage and adventure await in this charming market town on the southeast border of the Lake District National Park. A short distance from Windermere and the coast, there is something for everyone in the surrounds of Kendal.

The town itself has cobbled streets and is nestled amongst magnificent fells, offering unique shopping, eating and drinking opportunities at every turn. From high street favourites, such as Marks and Spencer and Next, to independent boutiques and jewellers, shopping in Kendal is a special experience. There are restaurants and bars to suit every palate, from local bakers and brewers such as Brew Brothers, to well-known chain eateries like Pizza Express.
