The Sedgwicks relocated from Morecambe to their dream four-bedroom detached home at The Silks in Galgate. The couple has lived locally for a number of years and wanted to find their forever family home.
Emma and Mark looked around a number of developments in Lancaster and Morecambe, and passed our development at Galgate. The family was impressed with the beautiful stone entrance to the development and loved the look of the homes from the design and room layouts to how the homes are located across the development.
Emma, who moved in with her husband Mark and their two children Lewis and Hannah, said: “We looked all over for a new home – I was looking for the right size house in a great location. We didn’t know about Story Homes but had heard that they had an excellent reputation for building quality homes. When we looked around we were amazed by the size of the rooms as they are more generous than other builders and we love the design and finish of the homes on the outside too.
“Our four-bedroom home is so spacious. We’ve got a great family/kitchen area at the back of the house with French doors leading out to a patio area and garden which is perfect for entertaining and a good space for the children. We’ve got a great view of the hills from our home – it’s just perfect.
“We bought our home off plan and viewed some of their show homes in Carlisle and Middlesbrough to get a good feel for the house. Story Homes really do stand out from the rest, especially in terms of how big each room is in the house. We’ve got a big lounge and the bedrooms are all a really good size and perfect for our growing family.”
The couple had a home to sell and bought using the Government’s Help to Buy scheme and Story Homes’ HOME scheme. Emma said: “Our sales executive Tracey has been absolutely brilliant, she reassured us through the buying process and we bought using their HOME scheme. This gave us peace of mind that Story Homes would work with us to find a buyer for our home. The Help to Buy scheme was also great for us, lots of people think it is just for first time buyers but it is great for people moving up the ladder too.
“We love everything about our new home and are looking forward to spending our first summer here and having more family and friends over to stay and enjoy our home.”
