Homes snapped up as D’Urton Manor opens its show homes

May 2017

More than 200 home seekers flocked to see our three new show homes launch at our flagship development D’Urton Manor in Preston.

D’Urton Manor, is one of the 11 key sites identified as part of the 10 year City Deal signed by Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire councils in 2013. The development will create a brand-new urban village on the edge of Preston city centre transforming the area with stylish townhouses, semi-detached and detached homes, creating a sustainable and aspirational community in a beautiful and convenient setting.

“We held our show home launch in response to the huge excitement surrounding our flagship development D’Urton Manor,” says sales manager Clare Wilson. “By the end of the weekend, we had more than 200 people walk through the door with more than 30 homes already sold off plan and seven families have already moved in.”

The show home launch, which includes two new house types to Lancashire, was designed to provide buyers with an early opportunity to see the exceptional style and quality on offer at D’Urton Manor. Clare added: “We wanted our customers to view our new range of homes which have been showcased at this development. Customers who reserve now at D’Urton Manor also have the opportunity to personalise their home, including many options for choosing their high quality fixtures and fittings that come as standard.

“Our show homes really do showcase the design and high quality specification of a Story Home. It’s great to have a range of homes to view and it’s the first time we’ve had The Westminster and the Salisbury available in Lancashire.

“On the day of the show home launch, there was a queue of people waiting outside for the doors to open and it was really exciting to show people around our homes and hear some fantastic feedback from visitors. People are thrilled that we’re offering brand-new freehold homes in such an ideal location, close to the city centre yet only minutes away from the M6 and M55 offering great access to the North West.”

The high quality high specification homes boost a superb specification. Kitchens are complemented by a range of ‘A’ rated integrated appliances including a stainless steel gas hob, dishwasher, stainless steel oven and fridge/freezer. The bathrooms and en-suites boast Porcelanosa tiling and outside the front and rear gardens are turfed and the driveways are block paved.

The three show homes have been beautifully styled by Story Homes’ interior designer Suzanne Webster, who said: “I needed to create three very distinctive houses to showcase at D’Urton Manor. I love the five-bedroom detached Westminister – it’s my favourite Story Home and this if the first show home of its type in Lancashire. I love the kitchen, dining and family room which covers the rear of the home as it offers so much space for entertaining and family living and I really wanted to show what a fabulous space this is. I like to work with colour and have mixed mustards, black and greys – this home is so spacious it can really take these vibrant colours.

“For the four-bedroom Salisbury I wanted to do more of a sophisticated neutral palette to contrast with the Westminster. To make this home more of a statement, I added in some strong black wallpapers which create a wow factor as soon as you enter the home. The three-bedroom Durham has been designed with a younger and more contemporary style with lime green and teal tones.

“I love bringing homes to life through interior design and Story Homes offers the perfect style and layout for me to work with. I like to create a sense of cohesion and the customers walking through can see themselves living in these homes with their family.”

The 300 homes at D’Urton Manor, include a stylish range of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties. There is a wide range of property types available including terraced, semi-detached and detached homes.
