Tell us about your move.

“Being retired, I was looking for a home close to the centre of Lytham, but despite being prepared to downsize, I just couldn’t find a home that suited my needs. So, I decided to look at new homes, and that was when I came across the Heaton Green development.

What do you love about The Ferguson?

“I love the family/kitchen/dining area, especially the large patio windows that look out onto the garden. I particularly like the main bathroom and en-suite shower area. It’s very practical and spacious.

“The lounge is also a great size and has a large window, which I really like. I have the fourth bedroom set up as a study, and this works very well.

“I also really like the position of the ovens, as I don’t have to bend down to them, and the induction hob is a great feature. The quality and style of the AEG products themselves are excellent”.

Why did you choose a new build over second-hand?

“After looking at the Lytham area to be close to the centre, I couldn’t find a suitable house even though I was prepared to downsize. I didn’t want to park on the road or be without a garage, and when I thought about it in more detail, I didn’t want to live in an urban area. I also decided that I didn’t want the extra costs or hassle of re-decorating or upgrading an older property to make it fit with my personal taste.

“I came across the Story Homes Heaton Green development and the location was excellent for me as it’s semi-rural and close to many amenities and shops, as well as being near to Lytham and the coast”.

Which room do you find yourself spending the most time in?

“During the day I spend my time in the study and the kitchen/dining/family area. In the late afternoon and in the evening, you’ll find me in the lounge. I envisage spending more and more time in the family area which overlooks the garden during the day”.

Would you recommend us?

“I definitely made the right decision to buy a new build. I chose a Story home because I liked the area and location of the development, and the homes themselves offered spacious rooms, which are great for when my family come to visit. The appliances in the homes are excellent and externally there is plenty of parking space thanks to the double driveways. I would definitely recommend Story Homes to others”.
