Story Homes sponsors Northbank 1970’s Under 7s football team

We are proud to announce our sponsorship of Northbank 1970’s Under 7s football team, helping to provide essential funding for new kits, training equipment, pitch fees and other costs associated with running the grassroots team.

Based in Carlisle, the team is made up of enthusiastic six and seven-year-old players who are passionate about football and enjoy being part of a positive, inclusive and team-focused environment. As a grassroots club, Northbank 1970’s relies on the support of local businesses to continue providing opportunities for young people to stay active, build confidence and develop valuable teamwork skills.

The sponsorship reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities in which we build, as we continue to strengthen our presence across the Carlisle area. Alongside the recent opening of show homes at Scotby Grove in Scotby, we are preparing to launch a new 65-home development in Houghton and a 219-home development in Brampton, while plans have also been submitted for a further 99 homes in Dalston.

Hayley Blair, Operations Director for Cumbria and Scotland at Story Homes, said:

“We’re delighted to support Northbank 1970’s Under 7s and help ensure local children have the opportunity to enjoy sport in a positive and encouraging environment. As we continue to invest in communities across Carlisle, with exciting new developments planned in Houghton, Brampton and Dalston alongside our recently opened show homes at Scotby Grove, it’s important to us that we also support the people and organisations that make these places such great communities to be part of.”

Ben Stewart, Manager and Coach of Northbank 1970’s Under 7s, added:

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Story Homes for its generous sponsorship. Grassroots football depends on the support of local businesses, and this funding will make a real difference by helping us provide the equipment and resources our young players need to enjoy the game and continue developing their skills. It’s fantastic to have the backing of a company that shares our commitment to investing in the local community.”

The sponsorship forms part of our Sustainable Story initiative, reflecting our commitment to creating thriving communities through the homes we build and the partnerships we develop with local organisations, schools and sports clubs.
