Shane and Lauren are enjoying the best of town and countryside living
Shane and Lauren were renting in Kendal and always dreamed of owning their own home. They wanted to stay local to the area as family and friends lived nearby.
The couple looked around our ‘The Beeches’ development and fell in love with the design and quality of the homes but weren’t in the position to buy at that time.
Shane, who works for James Cropper paper based in Kendal, and hairdresser Lauren wanted to buy a home that they could live a lifetime in. After viewing our award-winning homes at The Beeches, the couple viewed the new homes at Ash Tree Park.
They bought a three-bedroom semi-detached Hastings home off plan and loved the stone detail and design of the home.
Shane said “We loved the Story Homes product after seeing the quality of their homes at The Beeches. The location at Ash Tree Park is ideal for us and has everything we want offering the best of countryside living with Kendal and work on our doorstep.
“We knew we didn’t want to buy an older property that needed any work and that something brand new allows us to enjoy the best of this location. Whilst buying our house, we found out that we were expecting our little girl, so buying this home was perfect giving us the time to spend together as a family and we needed the extra space our three-bedroom home offers us.
“We love all the rooms in our home but our favourite is the family kitchen and dining area at the back which has bi-folding doors so we can really bring the outdoors in. We are planning lots of barbeques and having family and friends over in the summer.
“We are enjoying living in our new home. It offers us the right amount of space and being brand new means we can concentrate on being a family rather than having to do any DIY that you would need to do in an older home.”
The Hastings is a 3-bedroom semi-detached house with a driveway. The home offers a spacious lounge to the front of the house with a striking kitchen and dining area with bi-folding doors leading out to the patio and rear garden. Three spacious bedrooms with an en-suite to the master and family bathroom complete the home.
The couple moved in to their new home and only weeks later Lauren gave birth to their daughter Elise.
Lauren added “One of the biggest selling points of this development is the level of finish you get as standard. The kitchen is high quality with lots of integrated appliances which was perfect for us being first time buyers, as well as the finish in the bathrooms – we just love everything in the house. We also bought some extras including the fireplace and fitted wardrobes, which made the moving process so much easier as we didn’t have to think about anything once we had moved in.”
The collection of two, three and four -bedroom homes offer up to 2,203 sq ft of living space and will be finished to Story Homes’ Prestige specification as standard.
In most of the houses, this includes bi-fold doors, a double oven, gas hob, integrated ‘A’ rated appliances in the kitchen, as well as double-ended baths, overhead showers and extensive tiling in the bathrooms and en-suites. Each home also comes with a fully turfed front and rear garden and block paved driveway as standard.
We’ve released our final phase of a variety of new house types, as well as some of the best selling house types from the previous phase. The first of the new properties, which includes 12 new build homes, will be completed for customers to move into from Spring/Summer 2018 onwards.
