Waterside breaks the nautical mould as it opens the doors to two new Show Homes

Our first development in Preston has opened its doors to two eagerly anticipated Show Homes at Waterside in Cottam. Designed by Story Homes’ Interior Designer Suzanne Webster, we are breaking the traditional mould of a nautical theme.

These beautiful four bedroom properties at Waterside greet visitors with an eye-catching street scene that highlights the quality build we are renowned for.

The blue themed 4-bedroom detached Warwick show home has been beautifully designed with a twist to reflect the local area and fits perfectly with the development name Waterside. Although designed differently to the Warwick, the Wellington 4-bedroom detached show home next door is equally as striking.

The popular ‘Warwick’ makes the perfect family home. Open the doors to a hallway filled with natural light shining in from the skylight above. The blue and cream colour themes work beautifully to provide a dramatic atmosphere as you enter and starts off the water theme.

Striking kitchen and dining area in the Warwick

Straight ahead is the kitchen with integrated ‘A’ rated appliances and spacious breakfast area. The sleek design offers a black high definition work surface and white cupboards finished off with contrasting flooring which works superbly well. It’s a perfect setting and the stylish glass table in the breakfast area next to the French patio doors is the ideal spot for bringing the outdoors in.

The large lounge and dining area continue to utilize the colour theme of creams with splashes of blue and pink giving the living area a timeless and classic look.

Upstairs are four bedrooms, including a master bedroom with en suite. Each room is elegantly designed and adds to the charm of the property. A couple of the larger bedrooms boast fitted wardrobes and highlight just how spacious the rooms are. As well as the en-suite there is a main family bathroom complete with a bath, separate shower and a heated towel rail which offers added luxury.

The nautical twist inspired theme is really brought to life as one of the children’s bedrooms is based on a boat theme with port-hole mirrors and great storage ideas. The other blue inspired bedroom has a beautiful dragonfly feature wallpaper which really sets off the room. Ideal for any family.

Story Homes’ Sales Manager Clare Wilson, who was an integral part of the team delivering the Show Homes with Interior Designer Suzanne Webster, said: “This is our first development in Preston and we wanted to create two Show Homes that have a connection with the location and development name. After months of planning, it’s fantastic to see everything come together and get great feedback from our customers.

“We have two stylishly designed homes that show our customers how they can actually live in one of our homes and hopefully take some inspiration away with them. I know I’ll be adding some touches to my own home taking inspiration from some of the key pieces.

“Suzanne has designed five Show Homes across the North West which will be launched during the Autumn. She always produces work of outstanding quality which showcases our high specification homes perfectly.”

Suzanne Webster said: “I always enjoy working on show homes with Story Homes and have spent a lot of time with the North West team looking at their new developments and taking inspiration from the local area. When you open two Show Homes at a development it is really important that each home is different but also that they complement each other … and that can be a challenge.

“I love knowing that visitors get to see my work first hand and take that inspiration to their own homes. It’s really important to keep customers at the heart of my designs, ensuring they are stylish, classic and contemporary but also fit in with the location. I love being able to experiment with new ideas and colour schemes and having five Show Homes to design across Lancashire has been a wonderful challenge.”

Although designed differently to the Warwick, the Wellington show home next door is equally as thoughtfully designed. The classic creams, browns and muted autumnal shades run throughout the home enhancing light and space in every room.

The luxurious lounge in the Wellington

The living room with a beautiful bay window is styled Waterside Story Homesperfectly with current trends for this time of year.  The muted autumnal colour theme continues into the kitchen, which is complete with integrated appliances and has room for an additional breakfast table, also benefitting from French doors leading out to the garden.

The elegant palette continues in the four bedrooms upstairs and hints of greys and light greens add a touch of colour. The impressive master bedroom features built in wardrobes and an additional en suite shower room. Again, the children’s rooms are brought to life with key pieces including a Tee-Pee bed which is perfect for any younger child. There is also a family bathroom which is immaculately tiled and includes a separate shower cubicle.
