The assistant site manager at our award-winning housing development in Shotley Bridge, County Durham has been shortlisted for a prestigious regional award.

Paul Tate, who works on our development The Woodlands has reached the final stages of the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Northern Building Excellence Awards 2017 in the Best Site Agent of the Year category.

Paul has worked on the development since 2014 when he joined us. Since then he has built up a strong relationship with Durham County Council, ensuring that all of our new homes built meet building regulations.

He said: “It’s a real honour to be shortlisted for the award. The Woodlands is a unique development in a fantastic location. I feel really proud to be a part of delivering these high quality homes to families in County Durham.”

MD for Story Homes in the North East, Ian Worgan, said: “I’m really pleased that Paul has been recognised by LABC for his high quality standards and commitment to partnership working. He has been a real asset to us on the site – a great ambassador for our quality standards and fantastic with our customers. It is well deserved.”

The winners will be announced at a black tie dinner at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on Friday 7 April. All winners from the regional awards will automatically qualify for the LABC Grand Finals, taking place in London on Friday 10 November.
