Sedgefield Squash Club secures our support

October 2018

A local squash club has secured sponsorship for the next three years from our St Edmund’s Manor development, which is located off Stockton Road in Sedgefield.

We will be Sedgefield Squash Club’s shirt sponsor from 2018 – 2021, with the funding enabling the club to subsidise new, high quality shirts for members.

We have made the donation as part of our ‘Future Story’ scheme, which aims to help charities and community organisations that surround our developments – in this case, St Edmund’s Manor in Sedgefield, which features a range of three, four and five-bedroom high quality homes.

We accept sponsorship applications here all year round, with a regional committee reviewing submissions on a quarterly basis.

Sedgefield Squash Club has more than 130 members, with multiple men’s teams and one ladies’ team currently competing in the Durham and Cleveland squash leagues and the men’s first team playing in the Premier Division. Additionally, the club has a strong junior section with two members competing regularly at national events.

Neil Bunney, Chair of Sedgefield Squash Club, said: “We are pleased that Story Homes has committed to being our shirt sponsor for the next few years. The new shirts we have been able to obtain as a result of the funding will enhance the profile of our club and the sport, both within the local community and at other events.

“We have a strong focus on encouraging people of all ability levels to enjoy squash and racquetball. We would welcome any new members who would like to try this sport, whether you are looking for a friendly game or to play competitively.”

Lyndsey Walton, Sales Manager at Story Homes, commented: “With St Edmund’s Manor being located in Sedgefield, we are keen to become part of the local community and to help organisations that make a contribution to the community.

“We aim to support organisations in ways that add long term value, and therefore we are proud to help clubs like this one that encourage people of all ages and abilities to play sports. We are delighted that members of Sedgefield Squash Club are happy with their new shirts and we look forward to supporting them for the next few years.”

Our Marketing Suite and ‘Winchester‘ show home at St Edmund’s Manor are open from Thursday to Monday, 11am to 5pm. Prices start from £409,950.
