Show home opening at Chancel Place attracts almost 100 visitors

June 2018

We opened our show home at our new development in Longhoughton, Northumberland last weekend, with the launch event bringing almost 100 visitors through the doors.

The 66-home development, Chancel Place, is located to the north of Station Road in the village of Longhoughton and features a collection of three, four and five-bedroom homes.

The four-bedroom detached ‘Taunton’ show home displays the superior build quality and the features that come as part of our specification. Show Business Interiors, the company we commissioned for the interior design of the show home, took inspiration from elements of the local area to style the property.

As nearby Alnwick Castle was used as the exterior of ‘Hogwarts’ in the Harry Potter films, one of the children’s bedrooms has been designed with a Harry Potter theme, complete with bespoke hand-painted mural, brick effect wallpaper, potion bottles and broomsticks.

Sue and Martin Milne attended the opening event, having already reserved a three-bedroom ‘Hastings’ at Chancel Place. Sue said: “We have lived in our current house in Monkseaton for 24 years and never thought we would leave, but now our children have moved out we decided to downsize. A new-build home appealed to us as it would be suitable for years to come, for example as it won’t require maintenance and will be easier to heat.

“The quality of a Story Home stood out and this meant it was the only new-build we considered. It has been brilliant to see the show home to give us more of an idea of how our home will look – it has given us some interior design inspiration too as we love the wallpaper used and the wall collage of black and white pictures as you go down the stairs.”

Katherine Hope, Sales Manager at Story Homes, said: “With the high specification of homes, the extras that come as standard and the close proximity to the coast, countryside and town of Alnwick, we have received a lot of interest in Chancel Place since its launch.

“It is great to now be able to show potential buyers around our show home so that they can see for themselves what sets a Story Home apart, and we were pleased that visitors reserved a home at Chancel Place at our opening event. We received really positive feedback from visitors about the Taunton’s size, layout and design, and of course on the Harry Potter bedroom from many of the children who came along.”

Our Marketing Suite and show home at Chancel Place are open from Thursdays to Mondays, 11am to 5pm.
