For Helen and her family, staying local was important. Having lived in Seaton for 28 years, they knew they wanted to remain in the area so when they heard about the Foxbridge Rise development, they were keen to find out more.
After visiting The Sanderson show home, the family quickly knew they had found the home they were looking for. They also chose the Story Homes Home Move scheme, helping to simplify the process of selling their existing property.
We caught up with Helen to find out why Foxbridge Rise stood out, what the family loves about their Sanderson home and how they found the Home Move experience.
There’s me, Helen, a School Business Manager; my husband Pat as well as our son and daughter.
We were already living in Seaton in a property that we had also bought as a new build 28 years ago, so we were keen to stay in the area, and we were aware of new Story Homes development in the pipeline.
When we looked around the Sanderson show home at a previous development, we just fell in love with it. We particularly loved the open plan kitchen/dining/family area and the spacious landing.
We never considered a second-hand property. We love the fact that everything is done for you when you move in and it’s so nice to have a home where everything is new and modern.
Having previously bought a new build, we already knew we liked the experience, so another new build was the obvious choice for us.
We chose the Home Move scheme as we were able to sell our existing home against a particular plot, with the estate agent fees covered. We did initially lose out on the plot we were interested in, but it didn’t put us off because we were determined that we wanted a Sanderson home.
Throughout the process, our house was listed with different estate agents, and I was contacted weekly with updates, which was really helpful. The Home Move scheme made the process feel easier and took some of the stress of selling our existing home out of our hands.
I would most definitely recommend Story Homes and the Home Move scheme to others. The service from the Story Homes team throughout the process was fantastic. They kept us informed during the selling process, which gave us reassurance as we worked towards our move.
