We’re thrilled to announce that construction is now officially underway at The Fairways Phase 2, our latest residential development in Penrith.
To mark this exciting milestone, members of our Land and Planning and Production teams gathered on site for a ceremonial ground-breaking event. We were delighted to be joined by Patricia Bell, Councillor for Westmorland and Furness, as we celebrated the start of this significant new chapter.
Situated adjacent to our highly successful Phase 1 site, this second phase will deliver 194 beautifully designed homes from our Story Collection, ranging from two to five bedrooms. Each home offers flexible, open-plan living spaces, crafted to support modern lifestyles.
The development has been thoughtfully designed to create an attractive and sustainable extension to the local urban landscape. It will feature welcoming new street scenes, enhanced walking routes, and well-connected open spaces. In line with our ongoing commitment to the community, 20% of the homes will be designated as affordable housing for eligible local applicants. Additionally, the project will contribute £30,000 towards improvements at Fairhill playing fields.
To capture this milestone, we’ve taken aerial drone footage and photography of the site, offering a unique perspective on the early stages of construction. These visuals showcase the scale and setting of the development and will form part of our continued updates as the build progresses.
