Dearham Carnival, with a parade of hand-made and well designed floats, attracted hundreds of local residents and visitors to the Cumbrian village. With musicians, school classes, animals and more, the parade along Central Road, believed to be the longest village street in the UK, was popular once again.
As the award sponsors, Story Homes’ very own Builder Bear handed out the prizes for Queen’s Float, Children’s Float, Decorated Wheeled Entry, Carnival Queen and many more. Builder Bear was as popular as ever, with the crowds queuing to have their photo taken with the six foot company mascot. Builder Bear later joined in the community festivities at the field, spending the afternoon entertaining groups of children and handing out balloons.

2014 was Story Homes second year at Dearham Carnival. Story Homes is currently building new homes at the St. Mungo’s Close development in the village. The mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes have proven popular with couples and families looking for a quiet village life close to a good school and just a short distance from the West coast and the Lake District.
