With more than 300 beautifully festive stands and chalets spread across the city centre, ManchestManchesterer Christmas Markets offer mouth-watering international food, drinks and delicately crafted Yuletide gifts.

The central streets of Newcastle come to life with the sights, sounds and smells of Europe as friendly traders present a range of flavours and crafts from across the continent. Enjoy currywurst from Germany, waffles from Holland, paella from Spain and crepes – both sweet and savoury – from France, while browsing the array of stalls and soaking up the festive atmosphere.

 

MADE IN CUMBRIA MARKET – 2 TO 6 DECEMBER

Set against the backdrop of a giant ten-metre Christmas tree, the city of Carlisle embraces the spirit of the season – with a regional twist. Support local producers and enjoy shopping from the wide selection of Cumbrian artisans selling handcrafted goods and gifts. From hand-made jewellery to traditional local sweets, Cumbrian wool clothing to festive fayre, this is a market not to be missed.

EDINBURGH’S CHRISTMAS – 20 NOVEMBER TO 4 JANUARY

This spectacular, six-week season of entertainment is situated in the heart of the city and features a host of attractions including ice skating, fun rides and the hugely popular European Christmas Market.

Stretching from the Mound, along East Prince’s Street Gardens Terrace and around the Scott Monument, the traditional market offers a unique shopping experience for every visitor with its fayre of crafters, artists, gift shops and gastronomic surprises.

 

PENRITH WINTER FESTIVAL – 28 NOVEMBER TO 24 DECEMBER

Full of enchanted events, splendid shopping and magical markets the Penrith Winter Festival is fun for all the family. LANCASTER BREWERY CHRISTMAS MARKET – 27 TO 29 NOVEMBER

For the third year running, the renowned Lancaster Brewery will be transformed into a merry market place with pop-up shops selling handmade gifts, fresh food, delicious drinks and tempting treats. With live music, hot mulled wine and winter cider (plus a visit from the big man in red) there’s a lot to love about this magical little market.
