A section of the Coast to Coast footpath in Cockermouth next to the Story Homes development Strawberry Grange is to be upgraded.
The footpath will be temporarily diverted to allow for improvement works to take place.
Works will begin early next week to resurface and improve the existing footpath and to put in place bollards to introduce temporary lighting to improve school walking routes from our new site.
A signed diversion has been put in place for walkers, and access to the cemetery will not be affected.
Managing Director Ian Storey said; “We’re pleased to be able to deliver these improvements which will benefit not only the local community, but a national tourist attraction. The upgrades are due to be complete by the Spring, ready for when the weather improves.”
Construction at Story Homes development Strawberry Grange, is well underway with the Show Home scheduled to open in March, and first homeowners due to move in shortly after.
Strawberry Grange is an executive development of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom properties, which will be finished to a high specification and taking aspirational living to the next level.
The onsite marketing suite is open Thursday to Monday from 10.30am until 4.30pm.
