Story Homes will consult with the public on Tuesday 22 November on proposed plans to build new homes on land in the village of Scotby on the outskirts of Carlisle.
We have started to prepare detailed proposals to build approximately 90 high quality new homes on this site located on the north eastern edge of the village, south of the A69 to be accessed from Scotby Road.
This land has been allocated in the adopted Carlisle District Local Plan 2015 – 2030 and was deemed a sustainable location for up to 90 dwellings by the independent examiner.
Proposals would create a sustainable and integrated development that would make an important contribution to the district’s housing supply. The proposed development would deliver a mix of dwellings, and some of these new homes are likely to be affordable.
Story Homes Planner, David Hayward said: “This consultation event is an opportunity for residents from the local area to understand the proposals and come forward with comments to help inform the final plans for the development.
“Story Homes builds beautifully finished, high quality and high specification homes which are built using local materials and labour where possible and will create a community which will integrate well within this local area.”
The public consultation will take place on Tuesday 22 November between 3.30 and 7pm at Scotby Village Hall.
It is anticipated that the planning application will be submitted in early 2017
Following the consultation, all responses will be reviewed and where possible incorporated into the proposed development.
