Local Rugby League side, Kells of Whitehaven, recently received sponsorship money from Story Homes to help aid the club’s development.
Kells are looking to upgrade their Welfare Ground and the funding will go towards the project of erecting a perimeter fence around the pitch. The club said: “Donations such as this are much needed as part of the ongoing development of the facilities on the Welfare and the club would like to take this opportunity to thank Story Homes for the kind donation of £1000 towards the project”.
The club became champions of the Cumberland League in 2014 and Story Homes is always keen to support the local area, also helped with funding for the Greenbank Community Centre ‘Summer Fun Day’ in Whitehaven during August.
