For the second year running Cumbria SPAAF and Story Homes have been shortlisted for the CN Media’s Golden Apple Awards.
The partnership between Cumbria’s Sport and Physical Activity Alliance Foundation (SPAAF) & Story Homes has been shortlisted in the Sporting Achievement category for the work delivered in schools across the county.
Over the past 4 years the scheme has delivered various sporting activities in local primary schools across Cumbria. Following an application and selection process, chosen schools have been provided with a range of fun and exciting sports activities, through SPAAF Community Sports Coaches including Basketball, Handball, Tennis, Athletics and Hockey.
The ceremony to be held on Friday 2nd of October at Carlisle Racecourse, the illustrious event will honour inspirational people in Cumbria’s education sector.
“We are delighted that the excellent work of SPAAF has been shortlisted for the Golden Apples again,” says Ian Storey, MD of Story Homes. “The awards are a positive and uplifting event, and really celebrate the work and achievements of the education sector in Cumbria.”
