First-time buyers are first residents to move in at St Edmund’s Manor

February 2018

The first residents have now moved into their new home at St Edmund’s Manor – our new development in Sedgefield, County Durham.

Rachael Wood, along with her partner Lee McDonald and their 18-month-old daughter Marnie, purchased their property off-plan when the development first launched in June 2017.

This will be the first time that the family of three has lived together in their own home, with Lee making a permanent move from Scotland to join Rachael, who is local to the area.

Rachael and Lee chose one of our three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Hastings’ house types on the 80-home development, which is based just off Stockton Road in Sedgefield.

Rachael said: “We reserved our plot almost as soon as it was released for sale, so we have all been looking forward to moving in. Marnie and I have been staying with my parents in Wynyard while Lee has been working and living in Glasgow, so it’s great to finally be in our own home on such a beautiful development.

“We looked at some other developments but found that Story Homes were far superior, with a high specification and lots of space for the three of us. We particularly liked the bright and airy kitchen with the French doors onto the garden – even though I had to show it to Lee via Facebook rather than in person!

“Both before and after moving in, the service from Story Homes has been great. The sales executive and site manager at St Edmund’s Manor are very responsive and supportive – I can’t praise them enough. I appreciated all the little touches too, such as the lovely flowers we received on our moving in day, and Marnie loves her Builder Bear.”

Gillian Bell, Sales Manager at Story Homes, said: “We are pleased to welcome Rachael, Lee and Marnie to St Edmund’s Manor and we hope they will be very happy in their new home. It is fantastic to hear that their experience with us has been so positive throughout the process of buying the property.

“With our show home now open, two thirds of homes released now sold and residents starting to move in, we are enjoying seeing this new community come to life.”

St Edmund’s Manor features a range of 14 three, four and five-bedroom homes, including the first dormer bungalows at any of our North East developments.

Our marketing suite and show home at St Edmund’s Manor are open from Thursdays to Mondays, 11am to 5pm. For more information, contact our Sales Executive, Sharon, on 0777 303 0473 or email st.edmundsmanor@storyhomes.co.uk.
