We are pleased to announce that Mark Cook has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director at Story Homes, joining our Board on 01 February 2021.
With over 40 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry, Mark joins Story from Persimmon Homes, where he spent over 27 years in various senior roles, including Managing Director for the North West, Lancashire and Cumbria.
Most recently, Mark held the position of Persimmon’s Group Sales and Marketing Director before his retirement from the company on 22 December 2020. He also served as Chairman of the HBF North West during a turbulent 12-month period for the housebuilding industry amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mark commented: “Having worked at a national PLC for almost three decades I was delighted to accept this role and begin a new chapter with Story Homes.
“This is an impressive business with a strong vision and reputation for building high quality homes. Story has great potential for the future, and I am looking forward to working with Fred, Chief Operating Officer Colin Wood and the senior management team to advise and support the company as it continues to build on its success.”
We are set to complete over 600 homes in FY20/21 across our three operating regions of Cumbria & Scotland, the North East and North West of England. Despite the challenges of the last 12 months and ongoing uncertainty brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, we continue to focus on our expansion plans.
