Meet our sales executive Jan and find out why she loves working for Story Homes
As our Ash Tree Park sales executive Jan celebrates her first anniversary with us, we find out why she loves working for Story Homes. Jan has worked in house building industry for more than 10 years and joins us from a national housebuilder.
What does your role involve?
Our Sales Executives pride themselves on being friendly, flexible and efficient, providing a professional and personal service which is second to none. I am the face of Story Homes at our Ash Tree Park development, meeting customers and introducing them to our aspirational homes. I take every customer through the home buying process – managing their customer journey whilst delivering an exceptional service from beginning to end. I build a strong relationship with the site team and together we deliver and exceed our customers’ expectations.
Why did you decide upon this career path?
I have always worked for companies that provide exceptional customer service. Previously, I worked for British Airways as cabin crew travelling around Europe. The local route came to an end, so I decided to change direction to housebuilding helping people secure their dream home where I could play a big part in guiding them through the process. There is nothing better than handing the keys to a new Story Home over to a family.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I really enjoy taking our customers through the whole buying journey. They are buying a house but by the end of their journey we are delivering a home with their individual needs in mind. Customer service is a main part of my role and I really enjoy interacting with our customers, helping them make choices for their home and delivering a high quality home for them, working closely with our site team.
Why Story Homes?
I originally worked on our Waterside development in Cottam. I worked for a national housebuilder next door to the site and as soon as I saw the quality of the homes being built by Story Homes I knew I had to apply for a role with them. When I researched in to the company, I loved the fact that this is a family business with a strong culture and values. Everyone genuinely cares about everyone else, delivering a quality home and exceeding our customer’s needs. I feel really passionate about what we offer and proud to say I sell a Story Home.
What do you hope to achieve with Story Homes?
I have a lot of experience in the housebuilding industry and continuously look at new opportunities to learn and expand my skills. I really hope to develop a career with them and look at opportunities to move up the ladder within the sales team.
