We have now completed work on the first site we launched in the North East, with the final residents having now moved onto the County Durham development.
Work started on The Woodlands at Shotley Bridge in 2012, representing our first foray into the North East. We now have nine live developments in the region, plus three completed developments and several coming soon.
A total of 240 high quality homes across four phases are now occupied at The Woodlands, ranging from two to five-bedroom family homes and including a number of affordable properties. The semi-rural development benefits from views across the Derwent Valley, and the quality of the homes and sustainability of the site have been recognised with accolades from the UK Property Awards, Insider North East Property Awards and LABC Awards during the construction period.
Lyndsey Walton, Sales Manager at Story Homes, said: “This is a real milestone for Story Homes North East. As The Woodlands is the largest development we have built to date in the region, it has taken a number of years to reach completion, and we have been delighted with how popular it has been and the thriving community that now exists.
“The Woodlands provided the first opportunity for North East house hunters to get a taste for what a Story Home offers, and the subsequent strong demand for our high specification new homes enabled us to expand steadily across the region. We are now looking forward to opening new sites this year at locations including Blackwell Grange, Darlington and Callerton, Newcastle.”
