‘Outstanding’ school grows with support from Story Homes

April 2014

A financial contribution by Story Homes is helping to extend an ‘Outstanding’ local primary school.Dearham Primary School

Dearham Primary School, close to Story Homes St. Mungo’s Close development, is adding extra space for pupils, with work starting this week (week commencing 28 April 2014).

Story Homes has made a contribution of £63,000 to the local authority to help expand the growing school. This will be put towards two new classrooms, a purpose built sports hall and new offices. Work is due to be completed by September 2014 in time for the start of the new school year.

Dearham Primary School was rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in 2012/13 and is a popular choice for parents.

The primary school is close to Story Homes 78 property development in the village. St. Mungo’s Close offers a range of homes, from bungalows to semi-detached and detached properties with 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms. The homes are being snapped up by buyers keen to move to or stay in the village for its school, transport links, rural setting and proximity to the Lake District.
