Part exchange was the perfect solution for the Reeve family as they move back to Galgate village in Lancaster.
Julie and Christian wanted to move back to the village where Julie grew up and still has a number of family and friends living in the area. They moved in to our Lancaster development, The Silks, with their three young daughters.
“I wanted my children to experience village life and being part of a community. I was brought up locally before moving to Morecambe and my heart has always been set on coming back home.
“We bought off plan in the summer and talked to Story Homes about their Part Exchange scheme. This gave us so much peace of mind – not only did it guarantee we had a buyer for our home but also we didn’t have to move out until our new home was ready. We got a good price for our home and it took all the hassle out of selling it. Tracey, their sales executive, took us through the whole process and ensured it all went smoothly,” said Julie.
The family has moved in to our popular 4-bedroom detached Warwick housetype, which makes the perfect family home. Their unique design is brought in to the house as soon as you open the door, with the gallery staircase and the hallway flooded with natural light shining in from the skylight above, creating a dramatic entrance. Straight ahead is the kitchen with integrated ‘A’ rated appliances and a spacious breakfast area – it’s the perfect space for entertaining. The large lounge covers the depth of the house with French doors also leading to rear turfed garden. Upstairs are 4 spacious bedrooms with en-suite to the master and family bathroom completing this home.
Julie added: “We fell in love with the Warwick – not only is it a really good size family home but it also has some stunning features. We love the wow factor of the hallway and the gallery staircase which really offers something different in our home. The heart of our home is the kitchen / dining room where I can spend time with my family and will be a great entertaining space in the summer.
“We also love the area where The Silks is located. It’s next to a good school – funnily enough I went there as a child too. We’ve really got the best of both worlds where we can go out for country walks but also be near to everything the city centre has to offer.”
Sales Manager Clare Wilson said: “It’s great to see that Julie and Christian were able to buy their home through our Part Exchange scheme and are now settled in their home. I love the Warwick housetype – it has lovely features as soon as you open the door so I can understand why they choose this home.
“The Silks is a lovely development located just outside the village centre offering the peace and quiet of country living, but has the M6 on its doorstep so you can get around the North West in no time.”
The Silks boasts a stylish mix of attractive exterior finishes, complemented by thoughtfully designed interiors. With 11 different housetypes ranging from apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached houses there is something for everyone.
