Sally and Ailie secure their forever home at ‘The Grange’ Dalston using Help to Buy scheme.
Deputy Head Teacher, Sally Timmons, used the governments ‘Help to Buy’ scheme not only to get a foot on the property ladder, but to buy her forever home. Using the scheme enabled her to obtain a larger mortgage and get the flexible space she needed for her family for the future.
Sally and her eight year old daughter purchased a ‘Guildford’ which is an open plan 3-bedroom terraced townhouse, arranged over three floors offering open plan living on the ground floor.
The pair were living in rented accommodation in Dalston, and had been looking to find a home to call their own as they were swiftly growing out of their home.
Sally said “The whole process went so smoothly, I really couldn’t fault it. I reserved in March, and moved in over the summer holidays. The team have been great, and Ailie has already made loads of friends with the neighbours.
“It’s perfect for us, as the ground floor has a fantastic open plan layout with a family room, fully fitted kitchen and dining area and I still have a separate living room for the evening when Ailie has gone to bed.”
Sue Pollard, Sales Manager said “The Guildford is such a flexible home, giving families lots of their own space, plus ‘The Grange’ is in a great location for all the local amenities in Dalston.”
The new show home at The Grange due to be opened in November will be a ‘Guildford.’ On the first floor there is a lounge and a bedroom (could be used as a study), and a contemporary family bathroom. On the second floor is a master bedroom with en-suite and third bedroom plus useful storage space too.
The Grange is a superb collection of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes in a beautiful village location with excellent transport links and highly rated schools.
The Government’s Help to Buy mortgage guarantee scheme will close to new mortgage applications on 31 December this year but other schemes remain available.
