Builder puts a roof over his family’s head

December 2016

The difference is in the detail, and Mike Pears knows all about that – as he’s putting the roof on his own Story Home.

Owner and roofing contractor Mike Pears and his family, wife Natalie and sons Theo, eight, and Oscar, six, are looking forward to moving in to their new 4-bedroom home at The Pastures in Hambleton, in the new year.

Mike, 32, is a Story Homes sub-contractor and has seen firsthand the attention to detail and quality of material that goes into a Story Home. His company is installing the roofs on our new homes in Hambleton, and he will be putting the roof on his very own detached Warwick house.

He said: “It’s really important to be associated with a company that has such a good reputation for building homes.

“They have the 5* builder status and this attracts the best trades across the North West.

“Even though I work in the business it’s still really exciting to see my home go up on a daily basis – I’m looking forward to it getting to roof stage so I can add my own touch.”

Mobile beautician Natalie, 31, said: “I’m looking forward to putting my finishing touches in the house – it’s so exciting to have a blank canvas to work with.”
