Drawn to the village setting and the sense of space across the development, they were looking for a home that would support both their lifestyle and their creative careers.
With the move now just around the corner, we caught up with Alex and Chloe to hear why Elmbrook Park stood out, what they love about The Masterton, and how they’ve found the Part Exchange process so far.
It’s just myself (Alex) and my partner, Chloe. I work as a Creative Director for a digital agency focused on websites, AI, automation and SEO. Chloe is a Graphic Designer and creative, and she’s also part of the business.
Elmbrook Park felt like the perfect fit for us. Coppull is a lovely small village and it just feels like the right place to live. We looked at a few other developments nearby, but Elmbrook Park really stood out. The roads feel open, the houses aren’t squeezed together, and when you walk onto the development it genuinely feels high-end – from the layout right through to the finishing touches.
The Masterton works perfectly for how we live. We wanted four key spaces downstairs: a study, living room, kitchen/dining area, and the garage, which we’ll use for all sorts. Add in the utility room and downstairs WC and it honestly ticks every box we had when imagining our ideal home.
We didn’t consider a second-hand property at all. There’s something really special about starting fresh in a brand-new home, with warranties and the reassurance that everything is built to modern standards.
Having the latest technology was also a big plus – things like the solar panels and the heating system, which lets us control upstairs and downstairs separately, are brilliant features. What really stood out though was the internal layout. Story Homes has done an incredible job – every house type we viewed was genuinely impressive and we could easily have been happy with three or four different designs. That’s not something we found with other builders.
Part Exchange really caught our attention, although I’ll admit I was sceptical at first. I’d heard stories of people receiving low offers elsewhere, but Story Homes completely changed my perception.
From the start, everything was transparent and straightforward. The offer we received felt fair and generous, and there was no confusion about the process at any stage. Once the offer came in, we were genuinely delighted to accept.
The speed was incredible too – we reserved our home in December and by the end of February we’ll be moving in. The communication throughout has been fantastic. Everyone says moving house is stressful, but Story Homes made it feel easy.
We also used Story Homes’ panel of independent solicitors and they’ve been brilliant – always available, friendly, and really proactive.
Absolutely – we’d recommend Story Homes again and again. It is one of the best housebuilders we’d never heard of before, and we’re so glad we found them. We were initially looking at the bigger, more well-known names, but Story Homes truly deserves to be at the top of the list in the North West. The Part Exchange scheme just made the whole experience even better.
