Along with their two children and labradoodle Albie, they recently made the exciting move into their new home, choosing The Cranford house type as the perfect fit for their family and busy lifestyle.

We caught up with them to hear more about their journey, what made this move so special, and why Story Homes stood out from the rest.
We wanted to move closer to the coast and have local amenities within walking distance or a short drive, while still keeping easy access to transport links. One of the biggest reasons was the nearby school that both of our children attend (or will soon!). We’ve had our eye on Robinson Fields since the planning stage, and it’s ticked every box – plus we even ended up with a surprise sea view on demo day!
We chose The Cranford. Years ago, we fell in love with the Charlton show home at the St John’s Manor development in Callerton and always dreamed of owning something similar one day. The spacious hallway, separate office, and the overall layout were just perfect for us as a family.
We love the open-plan kitchen/dining/living space at the back – the bi-fold doors lead straight into the garden and it’s such a lovely area for hosting. We’re really looking forward to warm summer days! The utility room with extra storage is so practical, and the master bedroom with its dressing area and en-suite is a dream. The house also has great kerb appeal – visitors always comment on how impressive it looks from the outside.
We did consider second-hand homes, especially to be closer to the coast, but they didn’t come close to what Story offered. They felt cramped and dated, and a new build meant we could tailor the home to our style with high-quality finishes and no renovation work. Plus, having no upward chain and everything under warranty gave us real peace of mind.
The fresh, modern layout and the fact that everything is brand new. We also appreciate how Story Homes takes customer feedback on board and continuously improves their designs – it really shows in how well the spaces work.
We looked at a few others just to compare, but the quality and design from Story stood out straight away. No other builder matched the finish or the location – it was an easy decision.

Absolutely. We’ve already told friends and colleagues about our experience, and everyone who visits our home is so impressed. We still can’t quite believe this is our dream home – everything about the journey has been so smooth.
