Brampton is a small market town nestled in the gently rolling countryside of the Irthing Valley and Geltsdale, less than 20 minutes drive away from Carlisle, perfect for couples and families alike. What is there to do?
There are many picturesque walks to enjoy, including Gelt Wood and Talkin Tarn Country Park, both only two miles away. Talkin Tarn is home to a 65 acre lake set amid 120 acres of farmland and woodland. The tarn is an ideal place for active recreation or a quiet stroll through the mature woodlands.
New Mills Trout Fishing Park has fun for all of the family, from giant outdoor games and a play area to meeting alpacas and following the fairy trail. The best part is it’s only a five minute drive from Winchester Place!
Brampton has two garden centres, Oakbank Garden Nurseries and Tarn Road Nurseries, where you can pick up some new additions for your garden or simply take a look around for the afternoon.
