We are delighted to announce we have raised £12,600 for our charity partner, Cancer Research UK (CRUK).
Staff at Story Homes selected CRUK as our charity partner for the 2022/23 financial year, with all colleague and business fundraising going to this worthwhile organisation for the past 12 months.
Staff across the business carried out various fundraising activities to raise money for the charity, ranging from golf days and bake sales, to raffles and dress down days.
Nicky McKenna, CRUK Relationship Manager for North East England & Cumbria, said:
“Story Homes is helping to accelerate the progress of Cancer Research UK, to make new, life-saving discoveries. These discoveries will benefit our partners, children, friends and colleagues. The staggering £12,600 raised by Story Homes, over the last year, will help to create a world, where we can live longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
“Story Homes is demonstrating through its passion and commitment, a true understanding, that it is together, we will beat cancer. On behalf of Cancer Research UK, I’d like to sincerely thank everyone at Story Homes for your dedicated support of our charity and our loved ones.”
Following the sizable monetary donation, we are pleased to announce that we will continue to support CRUK for another 12 months, dedicating colleague and company fundraising to the national organisation until March 2024.

Cancer is a cause that’s close to many of our hearts as 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime; but by supporting CRUK, the funds that we have raised will help CRUK to carry out our pioneering research to help beat cancer.
