We are pleased to announce that we have further strengthened our partnership with South Lakes Housing (SLH) through the sale of 29 affordable homes at our Millfields development in Ulverston, where on-site works have recently commenced.
Millfields will deliver 111 high-quality new homes in total, with 35% designated as affordable housing to help meet local housing need.
This latest agreement builds on our successful history of collaboration with SLH. We have previously handed over a total of 89 new homes to South Lakes Housing, comprising one- to three-bedroom affordable properties at ‘Brigsteer Rise’ in Kendal, ‘Laurel Place’ in Ulverston, and ‘Fellside Manor’ in Endmoor.
As part of the wider affordable housing provision at Millfields, 29 homes will be provided to South Lakes Housing, including 20 affordable rent properties and 9 shared ownership homes. These form a significant part of the development’s affordable housing provision and highlight the ongoing strength of our partnership.
Adam McNally, Senior Land and Planning Manager for Story Homes in Cumbria & Scotland, said:
“We are pleased to be delivering 29 affordable homes at Millfields as part of a development that will provide 111 new homes in total. Josh Allington, Development Manager at South Lakes Housing, said:
“These 29 new affordable homes at Millfields will provide local people with real opportunities to access high-quality, energy-efficient housing through both affordable rent and shared ownership.
