The Dalkeith opened its doors at the start of 2020. We were excited to offer our customers the chance to look inside one of our beautifully-designed 3-bedroom homes, which is very similar to both the Hastings and the Spencer house types.
Why we love it
The thing we love most about The Dalkeith is how spacious it is – it’s been designed with open-plan living in mind and has a high-quality specification throughout.
One of our favourite rooms is the kitchen/dining area, which spans the width of the back of the property. This light-filled room is further extended by the French doors which open out onto the rear garden, making this the perfect area for entertaining, particularly on a summer day.
The bedrooms offer the space you need to grow – with two double rooms, including a large master bedroom which has an en-suite, and one single room which would make the perfect kids room, or study area if you need a space to work from home.
Styling tips
This show home uses cool shades of blue, a versatile colour that’s easy to mix and match, pairing perfectly with white, creating a relaxed, calming environment.
The spacious entrance hall has room for a console by the front door, or coat hooks as a stylish storage solution. We love the mini-shelf and mirror detailing further into this space too.
If you’re looking for the perfect escape after a busy day, the lounge offers just this. There’s plenty of room for everyone, with two windows that make the room feel light and airy.
The kitchen/dining area has been designed to allow space for a dining table that looks out onto the garden, and the integrated appliances in the kitchen allow for lots of cupboard and worktop space too, leaving you with room to add those all important finishing touches.
If you need an adults only bathroom, the en-suite to the master bedroom is the perfect space for this, complete with a walk-in shower and stylish white sanitaryware, as well as beautiful Porcelanosa wall tiles. The main bathroom is equally eye-catching – one our favourite features in this room is the shelf above the bath, styled with simplistic planting and accessories.
