Summerpark customer Amanda Blyth loved her new Story home so much that when a vacancy as a Sales Executive at the housebuilding company opened up, she knew it would be the perfect job for her.
Amanda moved into her new ‘Braemar’ Story home at Summerpark, Dumfries in back in December 2017. She said: “We just absolutely loved the layout of the Braemar. The property is extremely spacious and is ideal for family living. The quality of the build and the high specification really cemented our decision to purchase a Story home.”
After popping in and out of the marketing suite and getting to know the two Summerpark Sales Executives throughout her purchasing journey, she became aware of an opening with the housebuilder and decided to apply for the role of Trainee Sales Executive. The rest was history!
Amanda joined Story Homes in July 2018 and immediately began shadowing the existing Sales Executives at Summerpark, whilst also embarking upon the company’s Sales Excellence training programme. With experience of working for high-street retailers, a hands-on, customer facing role was the perfect fit for Amanda, who admits that working in sales is “definitely her forte.”
Just six months later in January 2019, Amanda had earned her stripes and was promoted to the role of Sales Executive. She explained: “Working for Story Homes is like being part of a family team. We all feel listened to, valued and our thoughts and opinions are taken on board.
“My favorite thing about my role as a Sales Executive is the vast number of new and interesting people that I get to meet. I love finding out what is important to them in terms of their home and what really makes them tick. It’s a great feeling to be able to secure the perfect property for a customer.
“Because I’ve been on the purchasing journey myself, I can anticipate and quickly address any concerns or questions a customer might have. It’s a massive bonus that I’m able to ‘put my customer hat on’ to guide and reassure the buyers that I’m working with.”
