Sophie, her husband Rob and two children Buster and Huxley, moved in to their four-bedroom detached Taunton home at our award winning development Brookwood Park in Kirkham, Lancashire.
The family spent more than 10 years travelling around Europe supporting Rob in his Army career as he moved around bases. Rob, who is a Major in the British Armed Forces, and his family have been renting and felt it was the right time to settle down as he is currently based at Weeton barracks in Lancashire. They found the perfect home in the right location as the boys attend Kirkham Grammar school which is a short walk away from their home.
The family fell in love with the location but also with the style and design of the home, Sophie said: “For the last 18 months we have talked about settling down but wanted to be in the right home in the best location. We bought off plan and chose the perfect home for us. The Taunton offers us everything we need with some lovely features in it. We love the kitchen and breakfast / dining area – this really is the heart of our home with French doors leading out to the garden which is perfect for my boys to play out.
“The lounge is a great space which covers the depth of the house and is a great place for us to entertain and spend our evenings relaxing. There are four spacious bedrooms upstairs and we have plenty of room for our family and friends to visit and stay with us.”
Sophie has a background in textile design and whilst living in Germany she set up a clothing business, Huxterkids. She has further developed and grown this business since coming back to the UK and wanted to concentrate on her clothing line, and the family decided a new build was the best option for them as they could just move straight in.
Sophie added: “Our home is in a great location on the development, we overlook woodland to the front of our home and this is the perfect view from our windows. The boys love their bedrooms as there is so much space for them and Rob loves the time we have together as a family, making this our home rather than a house we live in.”
