Work has started on site at the highly anticipated Brierdene development in Backworth.
A temporary sales cabin is located opposite The Pavilion Bar & Grill at Northumberland Park until our two new four bedroom detached showhomes – The Salisbury and The Harrogate – are built. The new marketing suite is expected to open in Spring 2016.
Six plots have been reserved to date, with the first customers expected to be in their new homes by Autumn 2016.
All of the houses on the development will be built with Story Homes’ new Prestige specification as standard. Buyers can enjoy kitchens that come with fully integrated appliances including a five burner gas hob, dishwasher, double oven and fridge-freezer.
Bathrooms feature luxurious double ended baths, overhead showers, wall hung vanity units, Kelly Hoppen brassware and extensive tiling with Porcelanosa tiles. Generously sized living areas feature bi-fold doors leading to paved patios and turfed gardens.
The development also has a new school being built on site – the relocation and expansion of Backworth Primary School – which is due to open in September 2016.
Robert Bowman, site manager at Brierdene, said: “We’re very pleased to have started the build process on site at Backworth.
“The first phase of work involved securing the site, fencing it off and starting initial groundwork. This included the preparation of drainage and putting in the foundations for the first plots.
“Now that the temporary sales cabin is open, the development has already generated a lot of interest from people looking to buy, which is a real testament to Story Homes’ reputation for quality and its commitment to designing aspirational homes built to a high specification.”
