Work has now started on site at a development of new homes in Lazonby.
The Meadows in Lazonby will bring high quality new build homes to the village. The 48 home development near Penrith, will include 2, 3 and 4 bedroom properties. These will range from semi detached and detached properties to terraced houses and bungalows.
This will also include six homes designated as ‘affordable’ for local people to purchase at a discounted market value and eight properties for rent.
Situated to the south of the village, off Scaur Lane, the development is close to the village hall and provides access to Penrith in just ten minutes.
The initial progress on site will include enabling works including removing a sandstone wall to open up the site and investigating the existing services as part of the early civil engineering works before the foundations of the first homes are laid in the coming weeks.

A new public footpath will link the development to the existing network of footpaths.
