Proposal

Story Homes has submitted a hybrid planning application (detailed and outline) to build up to 461 homes on land at Crindledyke. Our proposals will bring many benefits to the growing community at Crindledyke, including:

  • The provision of affordable housing
  • The construction of an on-site local community centre and associated facilities
  • The provision of on-site public open space, including an equipped area of play and multi-use games area
  • Off-site highways improvements
We expect a decision from Cumberland Council in 2024.

  • Our proposals will include affordable housing that will be allocated for people with a local connection to the area.
  • The proposal sees the retention of high quality trees and hedgerows, views of the surrounding area, provision of footpath connectivity and sustainable drainage systems alongside other ecological features.
